NOTE: title taken from the name of the commander format, which is the format mingyu is learning. you don't really have to understand all the magic: the gathering references because i made sure it wouldn't affect the story somehow? but i will put some more context in the notes down below. also, i wrote this for purely self-indulgent reasons.

it is already 2024, almost the year of our lord 2025 and i'm still stuck in the trenches of tinhetting! what's worse is that i'm still heavy on 2nd-3rd gen tinhet -- a whole 2-3 generations from what we have now. i have no idea if i'm sticking to familiarity, or i just do not know enough about 4th to 5th gen kpop, but like... i fear i have not tinhet'd so hard as i did for 2nd to 3rd gen.

If you ask the League of Legends community who their favorite couple is, everyone would come down to a unanimous decision: Son "Reaper" Myungjae and Jung "Nien" Hani, top laner for ST Esports, and LCK broadcaster, translator, and producer respectively.
Both of them have been huge figures in the LCK region, and perhaps the rest of the League of Legends community ever since their debut years. Hani has been a staple during worlds, often translating player interviews, or hosting the worlds ceremony itself. Reaper, on the other hand, has been active as a pro-player ever since his debut in Han.H in 2015. As of the time of writing, Reaper has been a worlds title-holder twice and is one among the most decorated League of Legends pro-player of all time.
The couple announced their engagement through their Instagram accounts on January 7th, sharing that they have been engaged ever since Reaper proposed to Hani a week after winning his second world title.
In an exclusive interview with OneT Sports News, the couple talk about their life, how they met, what led to their engagement, and how they'll both move forward as a couple, and as important figures for the League of Legends Community.

SOHEE BRIEFLY WONDERS WHAT LIFE WOULD LIKE IN THE ABSENCE OF JUNSHIK. He entered her life a little later, but had stayed for so long that it felt like he’s been there since the beginning. He’d become such a familiar figure that Sohee found herself trying to learn how to live without his constant presence.
